Order and delivery terms and conditions
Invoicing
Invoices may be delivered on paper or as e-invoices or by email. The invoicing details are entered on the order form. The ordering party shall give notice well in advance about any changes in the company’s invoicing details.
The net payment term is 14 days; the customer may, however, pay the invoice before the due date, in which case the gift cards will also be delivered to the ordering party sooner.
Over two month old orders that are not paid are cancelled automatically without notice.
Handling the details of a new customer takes approximately two business days.
Delivery terms and conditions
The gift cards will be delivered to the ordering party when the payment has been registered in the gift card system. We do not send gift cards abroad or to private addresses. Purchased gift cards cannot be returned.
The gift cards will be delivered via United Parcel Service. The delivery time is 2-5 working days, depending on where the ordering party is located. The delivery details must include the street address and the addressee’s name. A shipping fee calculated by weight will be added; the minimum fee is €10.
UPS delivers according to its terms on weekdays 8 a.m - 5 p.m. UPS does not call before the delivery.
Receipt of delivery
The ordering party shall check the number of cards delivered and the serial numbers indicated on the cards. The 19-digit serial number runs consecutively, apart from the last digit, which is a checksum.
If there are any deviations in the number of cards or their serial numbers, the cards in the lot in question must not be used before contacting the Gift Card Service at tel. +358 (0)10 76 82053 or lahjakorttipalvelu@sok.fi. Any complaints must be submitted immediately.
S Group's gift cards
The gift cards are valid for 24 months from their activation date or until the end of the month indicated on the front of the card. Some gift cards are valid for 24 months from their activation date, continued after the latest purchase, while some are valid for 24 months from their activation date. The card's period of validity is stated in the terms of use on the card's cardboard holder. You can check the balance and period of validity of the card at any S Group outlet checkout.
Product-restricted gift card
The product-restricted gift card cannot be used for buying tobacco or alcoholic products. The gift card is only accepted as a means of payment at S Group’s grocery shops: Sale, Alepa, S-market, Food Market Herkku, Prisma, Sokos, Emotion, and Kodin Terra. You can by a product-restricted gift card at the listed outlets or through a business order at our webstore.
Hotel gift cards
The gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The date of purchase is marked on the card's cover. You can check the card's validity period and the selected accommodation product with the Gift Card Service or at hotel receptions.
If no activation date is indicated on the cardboard holder or on the gift card itself, the party ordering the cards shall mark the activation date on the cardboard holder for each gift card. Please refer to the cover note for the activation date.
About the gift cards
S Group's gift card
The value of a reloadable S Group's gift card can be set between €10 and €150. The S Group also has fixed-value gift cards (worth €10, €20 and €50) whose value is printed on the cover of the card.
- The gift cards can be used for payment at all S Group outlets.
- The gift card is valid for 24 months from reloading or the last time it was used.
- The gift card may be used to pay for smaller sums than the balance on the card. The remaining balance will be printed on the sales receipt. The remaining balance and period of validity can be checked at all S Group outlets in Finland.
- Lost, stolen or expired gift cards will not be replaced.
- Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Buying a gift card does not accumulate S Group Bonus. Bonus accumulates from purchases made with the gift card if an S-Etukortti card is presented in connection with payment.
Hotel gift card
The gift card is accepted at S Group hotels in Finland. You can load one of the following four accommodation options on a hotel gift card: Sokos Hotels – Standard/Solo room, Sokos Hotels – Superior/Solo-up room, Radisson Blu Hotels – Standard room or Radisson Blu Hotels – Business Class room. The card is accepted as payment only when the room has been booked in advance. More detailed terms of use and additional information is available at www.sokoshotels.com or www.radissonhotels.com.
- The S Group hotel gift card is accepted at S Group's Sokos Hotels and Radisson Blue Hotels in Finland.
- The gift card’s cardboard holder states which accommodation product has been loaded on the gift card. The date of purchase is also entered on the holder. The gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- The gift card is always used in full.
- Lost, stolen or expired gift cards will not be replaced.
- Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Buying a gift card does not accumulate S Group Bonus. Bonus accumulates from purchases made with the gift card if an S-Etukortti card is presented in connection with payment.
